Man allegedly tried to conceal alcohol stolen from business

At around 8:20 p.m. on April 7, police were called to a business in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West for a report of a robbery.

SASKATOON - One man was arrested following a robbery yesterday evening.

At around 8:20 p.m. on April 7, police were called to a business in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a man had concealed a bottle of alcohol belonging to the business on his person. When he attempted to leave, he was confronted by a Loss Prevention Officer; however, the suspect then brandished a knife and fled. Police later located a man matching the suspect’s description at a nearby bus stop. He was arrested without incident and found to be in possession of what was believed to be the stolen bottle of alcohol.

As a result, the 35-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with robbery.
