Man allegedly attempted to steal bicycles in afternoon incident

At approximately 2 p.m., April 25, patrol officers responded to a residence in the 3800 block of Miyowahkohtowin Road after it was reported an unknown male had entered the home and attempted to steal bicycles.

SASKATOON - A man is facing charges after reportedly unlawfully entering a home on Friday afternoon.

At approximately 2 p.m., April 25, patrol officers responded to a residence in the 3800 block of Miyowahkohtowin Road after it was reported an unknown male had entered the home and attempted to steal bicycles. A resident confronted the male who then grabbed a nearby knife in a threatening manner. He eventually fled the residence and was located by police in the backyard of a residence in the 3800 block of 33rd Street West. 

A 34-year-old man is charged with break and enter, robbery, assault with a weapon, and possession of a dangerous weapon.  

No one was injured as a result.
