Regina police charge second person in city's third homicide of 2025

Two Regina men face a first-degree murder charge.

REGINA – Police have charged a second person with the murder of William Allan Campbell, which occurred on April 24.

On April 28, Regina Police Service arrested 23-year-old Dontay Bellegarde and charged him with first-degree murder and failing to comply with a probation order.

Bellegarde will make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on April 29.

Keli Stonechild also faces a charge of first-degree murder and made his first appearance in Regina court on April 28. His matter was adjourned to May 2 to allow him time to retain legal counsel.

While the Regina Police Service has withheld the victim’s name at the request of his family, court documents identify him as William Allan Campbell.

The charges against Bellegarde and Stonechild stem from an incident on April 24. At approximately 5:30 a.m., police and EMS were called to the 800 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of an injured man. When officers arrived they located the victim, who was pronounced deceased shortly afterwards.
