REGINA - The Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel has confirmed it will review a rate adjustment from SaskEnergy.
The proposed reduction is for SaskEnergy to decrease its commodity rate from $4.20 to $3.30 per gigajoule and to increase its delivery service rates by an average of five per cent.
The combined rate adjustments, which would take effect Oct 1, would result in an overall bill decrease of approximately $5.66 per month month or $68 per year for the average residential consumer. The rate reduction had been previously announced by the Minister for SaskEnergy Don Morgan earlier this summer.
