Vandalism, hit and run and firearm incident in this week's RCMP report

Dogs running loose also brought to RCMP's attention

UNITY REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of dogs running loose in Unity.  Members patrolled but did not locate the animals. The Bylaw Officer was notified.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members issued a verbal warning to the owner regarding vehicle registration.

Members received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

RCMP received a complaint of a loose dog in a rural area. The owner was advised to contact the SPCA to pick up the animal.

Police received a report of an individual in medical distress. Members contacted Emergency Medical Services who transported the individual to Unity Health Centre for treatment.

An individual reported a moose that was injured after being hit by a vehicle.  Members patrolled but could not locate the animal.

RCMP received a complaint of an individual vandalizing the public washrooms at the ball diamonds in Unity. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of an individual ringing a residence doorbell and running away.  This matter is still under investigation.

Members attended a report of a grain dryer fire in a rural area. The fire was extinguished by Unity Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.

There were also two traffic complaints and one false alarm.

WILKIE REPORT

RCMP received a report of an individual carrying a firearm in a residential area in Wilkie. This matter is still under investigation.

Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family friend.

Police received a complaint of a vehicle driving through a canola field causing a fire. Reported for information purposes.

RCMP received a complaint of break and enter into a grain elevator in a rural area near Wilkie. There are no suspects at this time.

Members received a complaint of theft, but it was unfounded.

There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.

MACKLIN REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was later returned to the owner. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

Members acted as mediators in a family disagreement.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

Police received a complaint of extortion. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning. No charges were laid.
