Stolen vehicle discovered in Unity business parking lot, and firearms charges part of recent RCMP weekly report

Unity and Wilkie weekly RCMP report shows officers kept busy while Macklin reports only two issues attended to

Unity RCMP detachment has been kept busy the week of Aug 17-23.

RCMP Report – August 17 to August 23, 2021

UNITY REPORTS

RCMP received a report of cattle on Highway 14 near Unity. Members patrolled but the animals were gone on arrival.

Police received a complaint of an individual failing to comply with a probation order. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of theft in a rural area near Senlac but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

An individual located a property item in a residence yard. Members could not locate the owner.

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle in the Unity Delta Co-op parking lot. Members discovered the vehicle had been stolen from Saskatoon. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of uttering threats. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

A business turned in a wallet located on the premises. Members returned the wallet to the owner.

Members assisted an individual in locating a business to assist after they locked their keys in the vehicle.

RCMP received a complaint of theft but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a report of individuals breaking tree branches at the Unity Ball Diamonds. Members patrolled but could not locate the subjects of complaint.

Members received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

RCMP received a report of an individual ringing a doorbell and running away. This matter is still under investigation.

There were also two false 911 calls, one traffic complaint and two false alarms.

WILKIE REPORTS

RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of an individual driving a vehicle in possession of a firearm. This matter is still under investigation.

A 36-year-old Unity male was charged with Pointing a Firearm, Weapons Possession Contrary to Order, Assault with a Weapon and Mischief after Members received a complaint of a domestic dispute.

Members received a complaint of an individual failing to comply with a probation order, but it was unfounded.

RCMP received a request to remove an unwanted individual from a residence. Members attended. The subject of complaint left the residence willingly with no further issues.

Police received a complaint of uttering threats but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members received a report of a missing person, but the individual was located while the complainant was in contact with the Police.

There were also two traffic complaints and one false 911 call.

MACKLIN REPORT

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members attended and spoke with the subject of complaint.

There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.
