P.A. police looking for suspect in late night stabbing

PRINCE ALBERT - Prince Albert Police are looking for a female suspect in relation to a stabbing that occurred late Friday night.

At approximately 11:50 p.m. on March 28, police were dispatched to the 500 block of 9th Street East for a weapons call where it was reported a female had been stabbed.

On the scene, they located a 46-year-old woman with injuries consistent with a stabbing. She was transported to hospital by Parkland Ambulance with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say investigation revealed the victim was walking when she was approached by an unknown female. A short verbal exchange occurred and the suspect was asked to leave the victim alone. A physical altercation then occurred where the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as female, between the ages of 20-30, wearing a black jacket, and black and white pants.
