A 12-0 win wrapped up the regular season for the Lloydminster Meridian Twins and a perfect 14-0 record. The Twins played the Border City Blue Jays Sunday to wrap up their season undefeated.

The Stingers soccer team dominated at both ends of the field during a tournament June 18-20 in Saskatoon. The Stingers never allowed a goal in regulation during the entire weekend and the final went down to a shoot out.

It was a beautiful weekend for a baseball tournament. The Muenster Bantam Red Sox swept the Zone 5 provincial playoffs, winning all three of their games.

It is that time of year, the time of year when all the ball teams in the area wrap up their regular league play and focus on zones and provincials.

They hosted and won last year and are hoping for a repeat. The Muenster Pee Wee Red Sox are in the midst of preparing to host the Pee Wee A2 Provincial baseball tournament July 16-18 and coach Troy Anderson is busy.

At some point in their lives, every baseball player has dreamt of hitting a walk-off home run in a championship game. A Battlefords Bantam Crackmaster Beaver had the opportunity to do that and made the most of it.

The Lloydminster Meridian Twins remain perfect in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League after winning 18-0 in Edam. The Twins were up early and showed no mercy as they dropped Edam to 2-8 on the season. The Twins are 12-0.

Every tournament, every game, every inning is important for a team vying to win a provincial title and the Battlefords Bantam Bandits came within an inning of taking the provincial B softball championship.
