The Humboldt Collegiate Institute senior girls volleyball team is hosting the Jayda Hoppe Memorial Tournament, HCI鈥檚 AJ Paulsen won the Horizon Central Athletic Association Junior Male Golf District Championship, the senior girls soccer team fell 6-0, and the HCAA Pre-District Meet is being held at Dixon.

The Riders and Lions, both closely matched teams, each played hard on Sept. 24.

The Tisdale Trojans fell 3-1 to Swift Current on opening night at the Tisdale RECplex, then were defeated 3-2 the next evening by the Regina Pat Canadians.

The high school football squad knocked off previously unbeaten Melfort and Unit Comprehensive Collegiate, 68-56.

At their home opener, Nipawin Hawks defeated the La Ronge Ice Wolves 5-1.

Both teams move to 1-1 on the season following the home-and-home.

The Broncos won big at its home opener on Sept. 25.

North Stars are winners 3-1 over Kindersley in home opener

The Nipawin Hawks won their first game of the season against the La Ronge Ice Wolves 5-4.

At the Sept. 24 game in Melfort, the Mustangs won 5-2.
