HUMBOLDT - In their first SJHL game in 15 days, the Battlefords North Stars did not show the least bit of rust as they dominated the Humboldt Broncos 4-0.
It marked a shutout for Michael Harroch, who was making his first start in the league since being injured in a game Jan. 4. Harroch stopped all 39 Humboldt shots fired against him.
The North Stars got goals from Zane Florence in the first, Colby Bear and Keiton Klein in the second, and then Holden Doell in the third period short-handed into an empty net,
Despite the loss the Broncos remain ahead by 15 points in the Global Ag Risk Solutions Division and ahead by two points of Estevan in the league standings.
The Broncos next action is at home to Nipawin Saturday, while the North Stars host Melfort Friday and Humboldt Saturday.
