HUMBOLDT — In their first playoff competition on enemy ice, the Humboldt Broncos lost the third game in their series against the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
The March 22 game saw the Ice Wolves win 4-2 at the Mel Hegland Uniplex. The seven game series is now 2-1 in favour of La Ronge.
The night started well for the Broncos, with Kade Olsen earning the first point on the board and Alec Saretzky getting a power play goal. Liam McInnis of the Ice Wolves then ended the first period with a power play goal for his team.
In the second period, the game turned to La Ronge's favour, with a goal by Colten Thompson and a power play goal by Mkyllan Couture.
Kole Christensson wrapped up the night for La Ronge with an empty netter.
Rayce Ramsay of the Broncos stopped 39 out of 42 shots, while Xavier Cannon of La Ronge stopped 41 out of 43.
The next game will be at the Mel Hegland Uniplex on March 23 at 7:30 p.m. The Broncos will return to the Elgar Petersen Arena on March 25 at 7:30 p.m.
