Internet fraud continues to flourish

In spite of repeated warnings and attempts to raise awareness from Battlefords RCMP, an elderly resident has been bilked out of $220 by an apparent Internet scam.

A bizarre incident in downtown Humboldt last week has led to serious charges of kidnapping and sexual assault against a man from Naicam. At 5:10 p.m.

Mailboxes at the Lashburn post officer were pried open after the lobby was illegally entered sometime July 22. Not all the mailboxes were entered, but RCMP say items were stolen from those that were opened.

Lakeland Veterinary Services have been nurturing two small female pups after they were abandoned near a gas station earlier this month.

Cars burglarized

Several vehicles were broken into in Wilkie in the early morning hours of July 22, according to Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP. The break ins were on 2nd Street West and 3rd Street West.

Driving away with a drive shaft

Sometime between May 26 and 31, a drive shaft was stolen from a 1978 Ford Bronco truck on the 200 block of 28th Street in Battleford. Over night July 9, a church on the 300 block of 30th Street Battleford was vandalized.

Three people were injured in a single vehicle rollover in the Delmas area early Saturday morning. WPD Ambulance transported the patients to Battlefords Union Hospital.
