Weekly Battlefords RCMP Report: Seven vehicle thefts

THE BATTLEFORD — Battlefords RCMP responded to 377 calls for service from Wednesday, Jan. 19, through Tuesday, Jan. 25.

• Eight missing persons reported. One missing person investigations is active.

- Darcy Roy, aged 15, has been reported missing. He was last seen on Carlton Trail late in the afternoon of Jan. 22. There have been unconfirmed sightings on the Saulteaux First Nation. He is described as 5’3”, 140 lbs, with brown eyes and short brown hair. He was wearing a black hoodie, black sweats and a turquoise toque when last seen.

• Eight assault investigations.

- Several reports of a male assaulting a female in a parking lot on the north side of North Battleford shortly after 11 a.m. Jan. 19. The suspect was no longer on scene when police arrived. The victim was not co-operative with the investigation and did not have any visible injuries. A suspect has been identified through information attained from several witnesses and charges are currently pending against a 53-year-old male from the North Battleford area. Investigation is ongoing.

• Seven break and enter investigations.

- Two suspects arrested on scene after a reported break and enter in progress on the 1100 block of 98th Street in North Battleford shortly before 7 a.m. Jan. 21. Both suspects were then found to be linked to a business break and enter on the 1400 block of 100th Street, which occurred a short time prior. Both accused were remanded into custody and made their first appearance in provincial court on Monday Jan. 24 charged with two counts of break and enter and one count of possession of stolen property.

- Break and enter to a residence on the 100 block of 26th Street in Battleford some time during the afternoon of Jan. 20.

- Report of a break and enter to a residence on the 400 block of 32nd Street in Battleford at 5:40 a.m. on Jan. 22. A 31-year-old woman was arrested on scene. She was later released from custody and will make her first appearance in Provincial Court on Feb. 28 facing charges of break and enter and failing to comply with probation.

• Seven vehicle thefts.

- 29-year-old male arrested and charged after report of a stolen vehicle from the Cochin district in the early morning hours of Jan. 23. Accused located with vehicle on 100th Street in North Battleford later the same date. Accused will make his first appearance in court on Feb. 28.

- White 2008 Ford Escape with Saskatchewan license 958LXU reported stolen from the Moosomin First Nation on the afternoon of Jan. 19.

- Grey 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe with Saskatchewan license 239 MKV reported stolen from St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford late in the evening of Jan. 21.

- A 15-year-old youth was arrested and facing charges of possession of stolen property after a Ford pick up was reported stolen from the 1300 block of 99th Street in North Battleford shortly after 8 a.m. on Jan. 25. The vehicle was recovered later the same morning and the youth was arrested without incident.

• 14 Mental Health Act investigations.

• Two traffic collisions.

• Three individuals charged with impaired driving.

• 22 various traffic charges.
