SASKATOON - A male youth was arrested Monday night following a bear spray incident in Saskatoon.
At approximately 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 21, police were called to the 2600 block of Clarence Avenue Â鶹´«Ã½AV for a report of a bear spray incident. Initial call information stated someone discharged bear spray into a bedroom.
The Air Support Unit (ASU) began monitoring the area and located a group of people a short distance away from the initial call location. ASU directed members of Patrol to the location where officers were able to stop all but one of the suspects; the last one was located shortly after.
Upon further investigation, officers located bear spray believed to have been thrown into a yard. As a result, a 12-year-old male youth is facing charges relating to possession of a weapon, and concealing a weapon.
