Three people face drug- and firearms-related charges after drug bust in Saskatoon

Methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine seized in police raid.

SASKATOON - Three people are facing a number of drug- and firearms-related charges after a drug bust in Saskatoon.

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team have concluded a drug-trafficking investigation with the arrests of three people.

On July 26, members of the Tactical Support Unit (TSU), Crime Reduction Team (CRT), and the Guns and Gangs Unit began an investigation into individuals believed to be trafficking methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine at a home in the 1400 block of 23rd Street W. Police believed the suspects may also be in possession of several firearms.

Through the investigation, on July 31, a warrant was granted and as a result, six people were taken into custody.

Police searched the home and an associated vehicle and made the following seizures: 241.2 grams of methamphetamine; 103.9 grams of fentanyl; 18.3 grams of cocaine; 1.2 grams of crack cocaine; three hydromorphone pills; seven cell phones; a Macbook Air; a Tablet; body armour (x2); loaded 12-gauge double-barrel sawed-off shotgun; Airsoft pistol; replica pump-action shotgun; and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

As a result, a 37-year-old man, 49-year-old woman, and 36-year-old man are facing charges relating to possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000, as well as multiple firearms-related charges. In total, 36 Criminal Code charges were laid.
