An investigation is under way into an early-shooting shooting that happened April 21 at Little Pine First Nation.
The call came in to Cut Knife RCMP around 4:30 am that morning. An adult male was shot and transported to Battlefords Union Hospital and then to ST. Paul's Hospital with serious injuries. According to Cpl. Rob King of the RCMP the injuries were in the abdominal area.
Four female youths were taken in for questioning. The RCMP say the investigation is ongoing with the assistance of North Battleford GIS, the forensic identification section from North Battleford, and members from the Cut Knife and Maidstone detachments. No arrests have been made as of yet in connection to the case.
