Fire crews battled a suspicious shed fire at the Battlefords Co-op Home Centre last week.
The shed fire broke out around 4 p.m. May 17. North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services found a small amount of grass burning in a wooden garden shed.
The fire was extinguished in just over 20 minutes, with minor damage to the shed. Two apparatus and three personnel were on the scene for the fire department, and also there was the RCMP and WPD Ambulance.
The fire is being treated as suspicious and is under investigation.
Saturday, NBFES doused a small fire at the St. Mary School playground. Lt. Rob Campbell reports a small fire was burning in the wood chips installed around the playground equipment. The fire was reported at just before 6 p.m. and took less than five minutes to put out.
