Sunday morning May 15, Dale Rogers was out doing some mid morning flying with his Powered Parachute northeast of Mayfair, when he saw his close neighbour, Curtis Babiy, stuck in the mud with a four-wheel drive tractor and air seeder in a low spot.

Curtis's dad, Peter, was trying to pull him out with another four-wheel drive tractor.

After a few unsuccessful tugs they decided the best way to get out without breaking and twisting machinery, was to unload the 13,000 pounds of liquid fertilizer back into the tanks on their semi-truck. To do this they had to pull the truck close to the air seeder with the spare four wheel-drive tractor. Then with the two tractors pulling on the air seeder they were able to get out.
