An off duty RCMP member has been charged with impaired driving in connection with a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian at 12:45 a.m. July 3.
A Battlefords RCMP investigation into the incident, which resulted in minor injuries to the pedestrian, have resulted impaired driving and driving over 80 mg/100ml against Tyson Drabinasty, 32, from North Battleford. Police say Drabinasty is a member of the RCMP but was off duty at the time of the alleged offence. He is currently posted in North Battleford.
A code of conduct process has also been initiated.
Drabinasty is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. in North Battleford.
A vehicle took a bite out of the Dragon Place Restaurant Monday when a driver took a wrong turn in the parking lot.
The exterior of the building was damaged slightly when the car connected with it at about 3 p.m.
A bicyclist was taken to hospital Sunday at about 9:30 p.m. after being hit by a car at the intersection of 103rd Street and 13th Avenue just after 9:30 p.m.
North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services practised their firefighting skills on yet another dumpster fire Tuesday around 4:50 a.m. at 1502-101 St. The flaming contents of the dumpster were quickly doused and damage to the receptacle was minor.
