North Battleford city council has selected a project manager to oversee construction of the field house and curling components of the Credit Union CUplex.
Lyle V. Schell Construction Management Services Ltd. has agreed to provide project management services for the curling rink and the field house, the two components of the CUPlex that are being constructed according to a "design-build," .
Council voted to execute the agreement between Schell and the city for project management services on Monday night.
The duties of the project manager include review of blueprint designs and provision of opinion to the city, biweekly attendance at meetings for the two buildings, undertaking site reviews and reporting upon the work to the city, monitoring and assisting in thre review of contemplated change orders and change orders , request for information and site instruction, review progress certificates and provide opinion on such requests for payments, and distribution of reports and documentation.
