Battlefords RCMP are launching a series of traffic enforcement initiatives in hopes of reducing the number of collisions in the community.
Police will be using unmarked vehicles and covert locations to monitor and video strategic areas, including intersections at Territorial Drive and Carlton Drive, Railway Avenue and Battleford Road, and various intersections along 100th Street in North Battleford and Highway 4 in Battleford.
Targeted offences will be seatbelts, speeding, street racing, red light infractions, cell phone usage and stop signs.
Spring Traffic Enforcement initiatives will take place at various times of day and night throughout the next few months.
