Police ask for help from public following assault in Saskatoon

SASKATOON - Police are asking the public for their help following an alleged assault in Saskatoon Monday.

At about 5:50 p.m. on July 29, Saskatoon Police Service were called to the 600 Block of Spadina Crescent East for a report of an altercation involving a weapon. Further updates stated a person had been assaulted.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. However, officers located the victim; she was transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. After investigating, officers learned the woman had been assaulted by a man with a piece of a firearm. The weapon was located at the scene.

The suspect is described as male, around 40 to 50 years old, about six feet tall, with long brown or dark grey hair, wearing a white or grey shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
