North West Regional College recently held a closing ceremony to recognize students completing requirements in business, office education, aboriginal community development, electrician, carpentry, welding, and youth care worker programs delivered at Battlefords Campus.
Due to the close proximity of end dates, one closing ceremony was staged for these programs. The college offers more than a dozen full-time SIAST programs ranging from health care to community services to trades. It also offers first-year university classes, academic upgrading and a wide variety of non-credit and industry-credit training.
"North West Regional College is proud to provide quality programming that prepares a trained workforce for local business and industry," states Bryon Zanyk, institutional development co-ordinator, in a press release.
"Programs such as these SIAST-accredited programs provide quick entry into the workforce. NWRC ensures its mix of programs provides employers with the staff they are looking for. High student success rates when seeking employment is testament to program quality and responsiveness to regional employment needs."
