The Golden Oak Inn/Pitt's Bar and Grill in Neilburg caught fire at about 6 a.m. Saturday, April 23.
Although the Neilburg Volunteer Fire Department and the Manitou Lake Fire and Rescue service from Marsden attended to the blaze, they were unable to save the structure. Crews were on the scene for nearly nine hours and watched the rubbish throughout the weekend. The cause of the fire is not yet known and it is reported the Saskatchewan fire commissioner review the scene Monday and the hotel fire is under investigation.
It is unknown the actually cost of damages, but it is suspected to be over $200,000.
