Vincent Roy is accused of shooting into the window of a vehicle parked outside a home in Beauval and smashing windows and setting fire to other parked vehicles

MEADOW LAKE –  A man who was wanted by police for allegedly shooting at a vehicle and setting another one on fire has been released from custody.

Vincent Roy, 25, was granted bail after a show cause hearing in Meadow Lake Provincial Court May 18. His co-accused Jelena Lafleur-Laliberte, 19, was released earlier in May and a third co-accused Braydon Durocher, 24, has a bail hearing May 26.

Police arrested Lafleur-Laliberte and Durocher in April but were still looking for Roy until his arrest May 1. The three are all from Beauval.

When the occupants of the home approached the accused they were sprayed with bear spray, say police.

Roy, Durocher, Lafleur-Laliberte, and two male teens were all charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, arson with disregard for human life, arson that caused damage to property, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of a weapon for committing an offence, uttering threats, two counts of mischief. The charges against them haven't been proven in court.
