Two youth suspects have been charged in connection to a shooting on Little Pine First Nation on April 21.
According to the RCMP, two female youths were arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and numerous firearms offences including possession of a prohibited firearm and pointing a firearm. One of the females was also charged with uttering threats and a breach of probation.
The victim was a 17-year old who was shot in the upper leg following a dispute at a residence on Little Pine. He has since been released from St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. Both accuseds were known to the victim.
Both accuseds have been held in custody and were scheduled to appear in court in North Battleford Provincial Court on April 27. The investigation is still ongoing.
