RED EARTH CREE NATION - Police are asking for the public's help following a fatality in which the vehicle driver did not stay at the scene.
Prince Albert General Investigation Section is investigating the death of 31-year-old Ericson Bear of Red Earth Cree Nation.
On Feb. 12 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Carrot River RCMP received a report of an injured man on Highway 163 on Red Earth Cree Nation. Investigation has determined the man was struck by a vehicle, which did not remain at the scene. He died at the location. Police are now releasing the name of the victim - Ericson Bear - to help further the investigation.
As part of their ongoing investigation, police officers with the Prince Albert General Investigation Section will be in the Red Earth Cree Nation community this week.
They encourage anyone with information about this ongoing investigation, including any information about the vehicle or individual(s) involved in this fatal incident, to contact them by calling 310-RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
