A 25-year-old Lone Rock man appeared in a North Battleford courtroom Tuesday to face charges related to a marijuana grow operation discovered by RCMP Sept. 7 at Marsden.
Ian Tindall is charged with production of a controlled substance and possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of trafficking. Tindall is also charged with breach of recognizance and breach of probation and was held in custody until his court appearance.
Tindall's case was adjourned to Wednesday morning.
Cody Tindall (20) of Lloydminster, Sask. has also been charged with production of a controlled substance and is scheduled to appear in court in Lloydminster Monday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m.
The RCMP's Provincial General Investigation Section working out of North Battleford conducted more than a month long investigation into an outdoor marijuana grow operation near Marsden. As a result of the combined efforts of North Battleford Provincial GIS, Police Dog Service, Maidstone and Cut Knife detachments as well as RCMP Air Services / Surveillance and police from the RM of Wilton, 136 marijuana plants with an estimated end street value in excess of $100,000 were seized. Police also executed a search yesterday Sept. 2 on a residence in Lone Rock where a quantity of marijuana was recovered in addition to equipment for use in indoor marijuana grow operations.
