A new Great Canadian Oil Change will be coming to North Battleford.
A three-bay drive-through oil change facility is to be built at 502 Frontier Way, in the C-3 commercial zone.
That plan for a new commercial building, with the size estimated at 30 by 54 feet or a total of 1620 square feet, was one of two new building plans presented to North Battleford city council Monday by building inspector Jerry Wintonyk.
Wintonyk told council that the new business will be located between Burger King and the Mark's Work Wearhouse near Frontier Mall.
The total value for the new building was estimated at $650,000, with Base Construction Management of Abbotsford the contractor for the project.
The other building plan presented at the meeting was for the previously announced Harwood Manor Assisted Living project at 2691 Clements Drive. The 72-unit facility is to be owned by Golden Healthcare Inc., and the estimated value is $8 million.
Lesmeister Construction '97 Ltd. of North Battleford has been taken on as the contractor for the project. The final design drawings for the project have not been completed, so the contractor is applying for a foundation permit only.
