The sirens were howling Friday as North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services were called out to two vehicle crashes and one fire alarm.

The fire alarm turned out to be false. A fire truck and five firefighters raced to Lawrence School at just after noon.

Lt. Clint Bullerwell reports the source of the ringing alarms was "mischievous." A pull station in the school gym had been activated.

Just before 9 a.m. NBFES assisted at a two-vehicle crash in an intersection. Both vehicles had to be towed, but no one was injured.

At around 10:30 a.m. another two vehicle smash occurred on 101st Street just north of the 12th Avenue intersection. Again there were no injuries and both vehicles were driven away after being released by the RCMP.

Sunday, emergency crews responded to another minor crackup at the intersection of 16th Avenue and 101st Street. Two vehicles collided at about 3:30 a.m. No one was injured, but NBFES assisted with cleanup of fluids leaking from one vehicle.
