The City of North Battleford has contracted Site Location Partnership (SLP), a Dallas-based corporate site selection and economic development advisory firm, in its quest to attractnew jobs and corporate investment, according to a City press release.
SLP will support the City in building relationships with high-growth companies from targeted industries and site selection decision makers, the release states.
"When our department was challenged with finding new markets to generate business attraction leads, Site Location Partnership offered a unique opportunity," said Denis Lavertu, director of Business Development.
"We have gained significant exposure in a variety of our target markets while awareness of Saskatchewan's economic boom, and our strategic location within the province, has grown."
SLP's economic development practice will strengthen North Battleford's business recruitment efforts through relationship marketing, site selector exposure, website promotion, national trade shows, site location networking forums and other aggressive outreach. The firm's diversified strategy will target manufacturing companies within value-added industries such as wood products, metal fabrication, industrial machinery, plastics and food processing.
"It is vital for North Battleford to position their community as an attractive alternative in the minds of corporate decision makers considering expansion or relocation," stated Mark Darce, senior vice-president of development at Site Location Partnership.
"Northwest Saskatchewan can be easily overlooked by site selectors simply because they are unaware of the region's favourable business climate and competitive advantages. We look forward to representing the City of North Battleford, dramatically enhancing their visibility and turning some heads in the process."
