A Cut Knife man is dead following a semi-tanker rollover on a highway near Neilburg, spilling a load of anhydrous ammonia.
The man, age 59, was found lying on the roadway by RCMP following the incident early Saturday. He was moved away from the immediate hazard, but he died at the scene.
Anhydrous ammonia is a dangerous chemical when inhaled or ingested. One home near where the rollover took place had to be evacuated but no other homes were affected.
The accident happened south of Neilburg on Highway 675. The call to police came around 6 a.m. Saturday.
