Buffalo Narrows RCMP ask public's help locating wanted man

Five firearms seized by RCMP.

BUFFALO NARROWS - Buffalo Narrows RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating a man facing a number of weapons charges.

On Aug. 16, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Buffalo Narrows RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Morin Avenue in Buffalo Narrows as part of an ongoing firearm investigation.

Officers located and seized a shotgun, two rifles, two replication firearms, a rifle scope, ammunition, a baton, and two sawed-off firearm butt stocks at the home. 

A woman and two men were arrested at the scene. The woman and one of the men were later released without charges. The other man was found to be in breach of a conditional sentence order and was arrested pending a court hearing.

As a result of continued investigation, 37-year-old Warren Hansen, from Buffalo Narrows, is charged with: unsafe storage of firearms; unauthorized possession of a firearm; and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and the Critical Incident Response Team assisted in the investigation.

He is described as approximately five foot nine and 170 pounds. He has hazel coloured eyes and brown hair.
