NORTH BATTLEFORD - The 2022 budget discussions are right around the corner in North Battleford.
The indication from City Manager Randy Patrick at Monday night’s council meeting was that the budget documents would be released to the public this Friday. Council had been scheduled to get the budget package earlier this week, on Tuesday.
Mayor David Gillan gave an indication Monday of how the budget meetings will unfold. There will be discussion of the 2022 budget at their Planning Committee meeting Monday night, and then at another Planning meeting on Nov. 18 which will be specifically for budget.
Council will then be back on Nov. 22 for their regular council meeting. There may be meetings scheduled after that for budget deliberations and Mayor Gillan said those will be announced.
Already, council has heard some pre-budget presentations from those seeking third party grants. In their council meeting in late October they heard grant requests from Battlefords Transit and the North Battleford Golf and Country Club.
