Big River RCMP seek information in fatal pedestrian incident

Preliminary investigation has determined the male was struck by a motor vehicle.

BIG RIVER — A pedestrian has been killed on Big River First Nation.

On Jan. 16, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Big River RCMP were dispatched to a report of an injured adult male on Highway 793 on Big River First Nation.

The male was pronounced deceased on the scene. His family has been notified.

Preliminary investigation has determined the male was struck by a motor vehicle. Big River RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist are investigating.
