There has been another vicious assault and bear-spray incident in North Battleford.
Three city residents have been charged so far in connection to the incident, which took place on 109th Street in North Battleford around 5 am last Friday morning.
Michael Rodney Delorme, 21, faces six assault with a weapon charges, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, possess a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of breach of probation.
Twenty-year-old Troy Ryan Delorme also faces six charges of Assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault, breach of probation and two charges of breach of an undertaking.
Kristopher Cory Delorme, 23, faces one charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.
Battlefords RCMP members received a 911 call early Friday morning about an incident where several people were assaulted inside a residence in the 1000 block of 109th Street in North Battleford.
According to police the early reports indicate several adults were involved and that both firearms and bear spray were used during the incident.
RCMP members were on the scene immediately and learned a number of suspects had moved from the residence on the 1000 block to a new location inside a home in the 900 block of 109th Street.
Police established a perimeter in that area and gained access to the residence at around 7:30 a.m. Police arrested three adult males without incident.
Members also learned of a fourth suspect believed to be at the 800 block of111th Street, and arrested him without incident.Police were also looking one other suspect believed involved, this time a 15-year-old male.
This is the second instance of bear spray being used in a crime in the Battlefords in the past number of weeks, after bear spray was used in an incident at a gas station on 100th Street. Police are relaying the message that bear spray/pepper spray is a prohibited weapon that could cause serious injury. Anyonein possession of these items without a lawful purposemay be charged, and anyone supplying these items to another person who uses them for an unlawful purpose,may also be charged.
