Jeffery Straker, a singer-songwriter of piano-powered folk-pop based in Regina and Toronto will be making a stop at The Gog Oct. 22 on his latest tour. For some people "folk-pop" is still too vague a signifier to know what they're in for.

The musical couple have been playing music together for 20 years but played music long before getting together.

On Oct. 7 The Gog will play host to a jazz quintet from Saskatoon led by saxophonist Marc Holt and accompanied by Bryn Becker on keyboard, Dylan Smith on drums, Michael Stankowski on guitar and Nevin Buehler on bass.

Missoula Children鈥檚 Theater was in town again for another stellar performance, this year with 50 local child actors putting on 鈥淩apunzel鈥� on Sept. 17.

Most Canadian baby boomers are familiar with The Great Reveen. Born Peter Reveen in Australia, he moved to Canada in the 1960s and created the popular Reveen hypnotism stage show that he performed for more than six million people during his career.

Looking at the paintings on the wall, anyone can see why two different painters belong together in the Sense of Place exhibit.

Toopy and Binoo are taking their show on the road all the way to North Battleford. The much-loved Canadian cartoon that debuted in 2006 has become a favourite with kids around the world and its popularity hasn't waned a decade on.

Creek City, a four-piece folk and roots band out of Swift Current, will be playing The Gog Sept. 10 in support of their latest album, Chronicles.

Dancers from all over came to the DK Dance Visions鈥� DK Summer Dance Intensive from Aug. 16-18. Parents and friends got to see what the dancers learned at a showcase on Aug. 18, which featured the wide variety of classes that were taught.
