What beautiful weather we have had lately. One hears about the storms in Eastern Canada and the United States and really appreciates our weather. The roads have been good for travelling as well. I must apologize for the error made in my Jan.

Staff and students of Maymont Central School joined other schools across Saskatchewan to observe a moment of silence Friday, Jan. 29. At 9 a.m., everyone in the school stopped what they were doing and stayed silent for one minute.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fill the following service positions: Parent-Tot Program 鈥� Spiritwood and District Health Complex 306-883-4432.

For 47 years Elmer Woytiuk has instructed and trained citizens of the Battlefords in the art of karate. His classes are known as 鈥淜arateDo鈥� and, according to Woytiuk, what he teaches is the traditional form of Japanese style karate.

ST. WALBURG 鈥� Jan. 20, St. Walburg Seniors held a potluck supper followed by entertainment by Lou Getz, Norman Baldwin and Bruce Vick. Everyone very much enjoyed the music. Following the supper and music they played cards to end the evening.
