NIPAWIN—The Nipawin Lions have cancelled their 2020 trade fair due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The trade fair was planned for April 17, 18 and 19. Brian Starkell , Nipawin Lions’ president, said the event typically raises about $15,000 per year.

EAST CENTRAL—Melfort Youth Evolution is holding a virtual dance party for youth in the region through the web. “The purpose of the event is just to create connection. We’ve come to realize that keeping connected is something that we have to do.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt’s two dance studios have moved all their classes to the internet. Impact Dance Company has been conducting their classes through Zoom, a remote internet conferencing service.

HUMBOLDT — COVID-19 has led to a lot of changes in the world: cancelled events, school and business closures, and enforced quarantines and self-isolations.

Carol and Treverr Poole from Eda, attended the Alpaca Halter and Fleece Show in Bayreauth, Germany where she was allowed to scribe at the fleece show and be ring master at the halter show. She is so appreciative to Robin Naseman for being her mentor.

Everyone's life has changed with new restrictions reducing the important social part of our lives to nil. If we each do our part and isolate ourselves for at least two weeks, we should see the spread of the virus slow down.

To minimize the spread of COVID-19, every function, but or small, has either been postponed or cancelled. News of the pandemic seems to be everywhere. I am journaling updates from news media for future generations to read.
