The monthly meeting of the Maymont and District Pensioners and Pioneers Association was held Dec. 12 at the Maymont Seniors' Hall.

Grades 2-5 from Maymont Central School came and entertained under the leadership of teachers Ms. Gillatt and Mrs. Stott. They performed an entertaining recitation and sang three songs for the enjoyment of all present. The students presented those in attendance with hand made cards and poems. It was a delight to visit with the students. All students were given a bagged treat on their departure.

After the students departed a short meeting began with draws made on the two raffles that were sold by the seniors and friends since mid October. The Christmas basket was won by Greg Ferris from Fielding and winner of the 50/50 cash raffle was Scott Gray of Regina.

The seniors wish to express their thanks to everyone that supported our seniors’ group through the purchase of tickets and those who sold tickets on our behalf.

Next monthly meeting will be held Jan. 9 at 4 p.m. The club is open to anyone 50 years and older.

Everyone is welcome to come to a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Jan. 9 followed by games of bingo.
