The members of 12-40 and Beyond, An Adventure in Rural Life, held another successful tour weekend July 23 and 24. A potluck and wind-up supper was held at Buck and Sandy Lafond's home on the shores of Emerald Lake. It was a perfect wind down to a busy weekend.

Guest numbers varied between venues with most venues experiencing an increase in traffic. There were repeat guests but the majority were first-time visitors. Visitors were from many parts of Saskatchewan and several other provinces, as well as other countries including France, Belgium, Â鶹´«Ã½AV Africa, England and Australia.

Winners of the door prizes issued at each venue included: Heavenly Hills Orchard: Mae Popoff of Saskatoon; Petrofka Bridge Orchard: Ralph Bumham of Rosthern and Aldine Feige of Shellbrook; Pagangel Studio: Ilse Moolman of North Battleford; Spirit of the Prairie Art Studio: Shirley Laycock of Biggar and Pat Jackson of Battleford; Fascinating Fabrics: Vivian Weiland of Shell Lake; Maristone: Verna Thompson of Saskatoon; Unique Treasures: Elsie Lehman of Rosthern; Stitches and Treasures: Ida Gillat of North Battleford; Pop's Old Forge: Steven Carter of Prince Albert and Murray King of Prince Albert; General Store Memories: Lynn Laycock of Warman; Denim Creations: Murray Laycock of Warman and Carla Lamontagne of Blaine Lake; Harder's Traditional Crafts: Ida Gillat of North Battleford; Joan's Blue Heron Gallery: Doug and Sheila MacDonald of Saskatoon and Laura McCubbin of Saskatoon; Nikihknan Crafts: Celine Kohle and Jackie Carter of Prince Albert.

Members were encouraged by the fun of showcasing their talents and by the positive comments from the many visitors who partake in the tour annually. The 12-40 group is excited to celebrate its 10th anniversary in July 2012.
