First farmers' market held

Waseca's first farmers' market was held Aug. 13. Although there were not many tables, those who brought produce and baking did well. People came throughout the day, many coming for lunch as well. The next farmers' market will be held Aug. 27.

Congratulations to Casandra (Schonhofer) and Dillon Cooke who were married in Waseca, Saturday. The ceremony was held at 7 p.m. in the yard at the home of Casandra's parents, Bev and Jack Schonhofer. Following the beautiful ceremony, further festivities were held in Waseca Hall where many friends and relatives gathered to honour the couple. Jack Schonhofer's nephew, Clarence Johnson and his wife, Caroline, travelled from Russia to attend the wedding. The couple were pleased to have as their oldest guest, Jack Johnor of Maidstone and as their youngest guest, Gavin Smart of Waseca.

Casandra and Dillon will be making their home in Saskatoon. We wish them many years of happiness together.

A week before the wedding, Casandra was honoured by friends and family at the Waseca Community Centre with a beautiful bridal shower.
