A year of possibilities begins

September often signals the end of many activities for people, but quilters eagerly anticipate this month when River's Edge Quilt Guild activities commence.

September often signals the end of many activities for people, but quilters eagerly anticipate this month when River's Edge Quilt Guild activities commence. The guild provides an opportunity to learn new skills, exchange ideas, develop your creative side and socialize.

Pat Downing, program co-ordinator, has been busy organizing an interesting and diverse year of projects, including both small and large projects, appealing to all skill levels. So, if you are a beginning quilter, do not hesitate to join us where you will find current members anxious to help you get started and assist you along the way. All activities are optional and include working on one's own project, participating in charity quilting, receiving instruction in new techniques or projects, or attending a retreat.

Monthly meetings take place the first Friday in the month at 1 p.m. in the Don Ross craft room, except for the September meeting, which will be held Sept. 9. Please call Irene, the guild president (937-3551) or Barb (445-0486) for more information.

We hope to see you there to renew friendships and make new ones.
