Disaster scenario at the heart of sci-fi novel.

On Jan. 23 at approximately 1:30 a.m. police were called to the 500 block of 28th Street East for a report of an injured person.

On Jan. 19 at approximately 5 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of an armed robbery on 110聽Street in North Battleford.

Justice Grant Currie reserved his decision on the sentencing to Feb. 10.聽

Battlefords RCMP say the driver of the vehicle has been ticketed for speeding and driving without due care and attention.

The $100 levy is expected to bring in about $190,000 in a year to help fund capital projects.聽

The case was adjourned to Feb. 24 at 9:30 a.m.

Nakota Rayne Pooyak has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on Feb. 20.

On Jan. 17, members of the Emergency Response Team conducted enforcement action on a group of people believed to be trafficking cocaine at a residence in the 500 block of 5th Street East in Prince Albert.

The weather service says the cold snap is expected to end by Tuesday.
