Several injured following collision on Highway 1

Highway 1 is back open today following a two vehicle collision involving a truck and multi-passenger van Oct. 12 near Sintaluta, Saskatchewan.

Police are reporting injuries following a collision on Highway 1.

REGINA - Highway 1 is back open today following a two vehicle collision involving a truck and multi-passenger van.

On Oct. 12, 2023 at approximately 4 p.m., Indian Head RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway #1, near Sintaluta, Saskatchewan.

According to police, RCMP officers, Indian Head Fire, EMS and STARS immediately responded. The details of the investigation are currently being investigated by an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.

Police report the multi-passenger van had nine occupants and was transporting one adult and eight youth from Broadview Detachment area. All occupants were transported to hospital with injuries described as either severe or non-life-threatening.

The adult male driver of the truck from Manitoba was transported to hospital by STARS; there is no word on his injuries.
