DAVIN - Two people were killed in a recent two-vehicle collision in southern Saskatchewan.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 7, White Butte RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway 48 near Davin, which is about 40 kilometres southeast of Regina.
Investigation determined a truck and a car collided. The drivers of both vehicles were declared deceased by EMS at the scene.
The driver of the car has been identified as a 22-year-old woman from Kipling. The driver of the truck was a 47-year-old man from the U.S. state of Arkansas. Their families have been notified.
An adult male passenger in the car was taken to hospital with injuries the RCMP described as serious.
Highway 48 was blocked during the initial investigation and response to this collision.
The White Butte RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
