REGINA - It has been announced that SaskEnergy has reached an agreement with members of UNIFOR, Local 649 on a new three-year Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The new deal that has been ratified runs retroactive to February 1, 2023, and will see wage increases annually at a rate of three per cent starting Feb. 1, 2023, three per cent starting Feb. 1, 2024, and two per cent starting Feb. 1 2025. The CBA is to expire Jan. 31, 2026.
According to SaskEnergy’s news release the tentative agreement was reached on Dec. 13, 2023, and a ratification tour was held by the union across the province over the last couple weeks.
“The signing of the collective bargaining agreement at SaskEnergy demonstrates the value of collaboration between unions and the Government of Saskatchewan,” said Dustin Duncan, Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy, in a statement.
“This is a positive agreement for both sides ensuring labour stability and harmonious relationships for SaskEnergy employees,” says Mark Guillet, President and CEO of SaskEnergy, in a statement.
