REGINA - Regina Police Service says it is investigating a fatal collision between a vehicle and pedestrian on the weekend in an apparent hit and run.
According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, to the 1100 Block of Rae Street on a report of an injured person lying on the ground. On arrival, police found a female victim suffering from serious injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital by EMS, but according to police she succumbed to her injuries a short time later.
Regina Police say that according to their initial investigation, the female was struck by a vehicle whose driver did not remain at the scene of the collision.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
