Provincially the Saskatchewan Party secured a majority with 35 seats, with the NDP at 26.

Premier-elect Scott Moe thanked the party leaders and singled out Carla Beck, leader of the Saskatchewan NDP, for the work she does as opposition leader and party leader.

On the first preliminary count of votes, Chan received 3361 votes compared to the NDP's 2128, the Sask United Party's 803, the Green Party's 131 and the Buffalo Party's 40.聽
