REGINA - Regina police are investigating an incident at a Sask Party campaign office in Regina Northeast in which a window was damaged.
On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Party said in a news release that what was believed at the time to be two bullet holes were found in the window of the campaign office of their candidate in Regina Northeast, Rahul Singh.
鈥淥ur campaign has already had many signs stolen but this goes well beyond that, putting our campaign volunteers in danger,鈥� Singh said in a news release.
"I have reported this attack to the Regina Police Service and they are now investigating."
Regina Police Service issued a news release confirming they were investigating a mischief that occurred at the location on the 1600 block of Dewdney Avenue.
Axcording to police, approximately 7:20 p.m. on Monday, officers received the report about the incident. Police attended the scene the next morning and observed the damage. Police say the investigation indicated the damage was not the result of a firearm discharge, and the matter remains under investigation.

Earlier on Tuesday, party leaders reacted to the initial reports that it had been a gunfire incident. In a statement, Scott Moe called this unacceptable.
鈥淚 spoke to Rahul this morning,鈥� Moe said. 鈥淚 know he is troubled by this but he will not be intimidated. He has knocked on thousands of doors and spoken with thousands of voters in Regina Northeast and that鈥檚 exactly what he plans to continue doing from now until Election Day.鈥�
NDP Leader Carla Beck said the following in a statement:
"No politician should ever be subjected to violence. I have learned of reports that gunshots were fired at the campaign office belonging to Regina Northeast candidate Rahul Singh. My heart goes out to Mr. Singh, the volunteers and the campaign staff working to support Mr. Singh鈥檚 campaign who are no doubt shaken by this violent act. I hope that whoever committed this act is brought to justice."
On the X platform, Sask United leader Jon Hromek posted:
"This kind of interference in our democratic process is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. My thoughts are with Mr. Singh, his staff, and his volunteers."
